Water is essential and very important in your baby's developed. Drink lots of water, diluted vegetable juices and also fruit juices to ensure that your kidneys and bladder are healthy.

It is recommended that you stop using cigarettes and drinking alcohol during pregnancy as they both can affect your baby's development.

Generally speaking, mothers who are expecting are advised to increase their weight by up to 35 pounds during gestation. You should not focus on the scales or the amount of pounds you are gaining but instead focus on providing a very healthy diet for you and your baby during this time.
